When Aung first contacted me, he wrote me an email that from the moment I finished reading, I knew I had to take their photos.
Aung wrote to me, telling me they have been together since high school. They both live in Singapore and were planning to head back home on the 24th of December, but before they leave, he wanted to propose to Fel on the icy mountain tops of New Zealand and return to Australia for some photos. They wanted photos at a location which had significant meaning to them both, where they both made some personal promises to each other, at Byron Bay in NSW.
Aung and Fel love the landscapes in Australia, so we had to take some engagement photos here before they go back to their busy hometown. They don’t have what we have, it’s all city in Singapore, but now they will have a part of Australia with them forever.
To finish the day, Aung and Fel treated to some of the best pork ribs I’ve ever tasted at Hurricane’s Grill across from the beach at Surfers. This just might be a little plug from Aung, Fel and myself.
Their actual wedding will take place at home, in Singapore. It will be amazing to capture.
Oh, and I left a photo at the bottom taken by the pilot of the helicopter when Aung got down on one knee.
Aung and Fel’s engagement session was also featured on Polka Dot Bride.
