Last year, I photographed about 15 destination weddings. This means I was on about 30 flights or epic drives travelling to and from weddings, and it also means I stayed in many different hotels and spare rooms. It was pretty tough. As much as I loved it, I missed my family.
This year and in the future, I’m aiming to shoot more Brisbane weddings. Of course, I’m still available for interstate weddings, but I’m hoping to see more enquiries from Brisbane folks. I didn’t get many enquiries last year to photograph in Brisbane, but so far and for the remainder of the year, I’ll be on home soil plenty more, which is pretty cool. I’m trying to get a good mix of both interstate and local weddings and I’m still learning how to do that.
And part of that learning curve, is that I noticed I shared 8 destination weddings in a row, and excluded Brisbane all together. So today, I’m sharing a Brisbane wedding. My home is beautiful and I’m going to share more of it, starting with Alex and Jake’s wedding.
