On a beautiful day earlier this month, Mark and Ashleigh invited friends and family from all over Australia and many internationally, to celebrate their wedding.
I woke up early.
I wanted to arrive ahead of schedule and enjoy the morning with Mark and the boys, but, I was too late. They had just returned from an early morning swim at the beach. But, why were they up so early? Mark had been nervous for several days before the wedding. When I spoke to him, he was talking a mile a minute.
He couldn’t wait. Today was the day.
The guests, Mark and the boys all jumped in the bus and we drove down to the chapel together. The roads were long and windy. Forest and water surrounded the empty roads.
As you walk out and gaze upon the view, you are speechless in awe. The chapel was unwalled and open, so the guests could feel the fresh breeze. It was small and cosy with the morning sun shining down on the surrounding waters.
It was intimately secluded.
It was the most beautiful place to say your vows.
It was perfect.
