Henri and Bridie. I’m not sure where to start.
I love my wife and family. I would do anything for them.
But, when did I know that I loved my wife?
When did I know, that nothing was more important than her?
During the speeches, the best man held up his glass and said, “What Henri did, we all need to cheers that. And mate, we are all glad that you did. We love Bridie. We love you both”.
At this point, the whole room stands up in a roar of cheers and glasses. Wines and beers, clashing together. The drinks, spilling with happiness from everyone. From every. single. person. I couldn’t believe what I was seeing. This is a moment, I will never, ever forget. Now, I could finally understand.
Six months after meeting each other, Bridie was admitted to hospital. No doctors knew what was happening to her, but her liver failed and no one knew why. And knowing this, Henri never left. Instead, he slept on the hospital floor.
This is that moment, that you know someone is truly in love.
When you see these two together, you know that they have experienced something not many others have.
This is Henri and Bridie, at Mt Samson.
This wedding was also featured in a Queensland Bride‘s magazine (Winter 2016).
